Job Overview

In this role, you will deliver a range of treatments including massages, facials, and body therapies, ensuring a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for our clientele. You will assist with maintaining spa facilities, managing inventory, and promoting spa packages and wellness programs. This position requires a certification in spa therapy, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for holistic health and wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily cleanliness and organization of facilities: massage rooms, change rooms, yoga room, spa hallway, and spa reception area.
  • Ensure a clean, hygienic, and neat work environment at all times, keeping all equipment safe and in working order.
  • Exceed guest expectations by providing personalized, efficient, and courteous customer service.
  • Show dedication to making every guest feel welcome in our surroundings.
  • Provide necessary information to compile complete guest records.
  • Perform various massage treatments ranging from relaxation, deep tissue to hot stone.
  • Accommodate guests’ needs and create individualized experiences.
  • Provide in-depth knowledge of all products and services available within the spa.
  • Monitor and restock massage supplies and products.
  • Answer phone calls with excellent etiquette.
  • Lead stretch or yoga classes.
  • Demonstrate safe workplace practices.
  • Operate according to the policies, procedures, quality standards, and services established by the company.
  • Keep immediate supervisor promptly informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance; report concerns related to Engineering/Maintenance, Health and Safety, Security, or suspicious circumstances promptly to the appropriate leader.
  • Assist other members of the lodge team when needed.
  • Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms: stayover and departure cleans.
  • Clean staff and guest common areas and offices.
  • Tidy and restock housekeeping carts and rooms.
  • Assist the laundry attendant with washing, drying, and ironing all resort and guest laundry.
  • Work in line with safety and hygiene regulations set forth by Tyax Lodge & Heliskiing.
  • Respect guest privacy.
  • Handle all lost and found items according to company policy.
  • Buss and reset tables, host duties, serve tables (based on experience), assist in wedding functions, including setup and clean of table settings.
  • Assist guests with questions about the drink and food menu in an informative and helpful way.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
  • Ensure the restaurant area is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain a cheerful, courteous disposition and a calm demeanor in a fast‑paced, high‑intensity environment.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage; maintain health & safety standards; comply with regulations set by the B.C. Liquor Control and Licensing Branch.

Qualifications

  • Certification in spa therapy.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Passion for holistic health and wellness.
  • Ability to lead stretch or yoga classes.
  • Demonstrated safe workplace practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Salary

Commission based, plus $18 per hour for support role.
