Windmill Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our Care Team part time at Abbot Close Care Centre, Askeaton Co. Limerick.
This is a fixed-term role commencing on 6th July 2026 and concluding on 30th August 2026.
The position is part-time and flexible, requiring 3 days per week, including weekends.
Shifts will be 12 hours in duration.
Main Duties
- Clear and clean kitchen, dining areas and catering utensils using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation and service of all meals and beverages for residents, visitors and staff to the required company standards of hygiene and economy.
- Preparation of resident's trays and dining areas ensuring that the necessary equipment, utensils and food is available in the required quantities and at the required time.
- Adhere to good practice with regard to hygiene, health and safety, HACCP and COSHH Regulation at all times meeting all legislative requirements.
Qualifications
- HACCP Certified
Experience
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant
- Understanding of health and safety policy, with special emphasis on the kitchen
