Role Description The Housekeeping Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Grande Prairie, AB. This position oversees housekeeping staff, assigns daily tasks, and monitors work areas to ensure that cleanliness and safety standards are consistently met. The Housekeeping Supervisor inspects rooms and common areas, coordinates laundry operations, manages inventory of cleaning supplies and linens, and ensures proper use of equipment and chemicals. The role includes training and mentoring team members, assisting with scheduling, and supporting performance reviews. The Housekeeping Supervisor also responds to guest or client requests, addresses service issues promptly, and works closely with management to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
- Hands-on housekeeping experience with a solid understanding of cleaning procedures, safety standards, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Experience with laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and maintaining linen quality.
- Customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with guests, clients, and staff, and to resolve issues effectively.
- Ability to organize work schedules, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills for reporting, scheduling, and maintaining records are an asset.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices; WHMIS or equivalent training is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a supervisory housekeeping role in hospitality, residential, or commercial settings is preferred.
