Position Summary
Oversee work activities of Room Attendant, Public Areas Attendant and Laundry Team members to ensure all related areas meeting prescribed standards of cleanliness and orderliness. Also provide organization, instruction and guidance to members of the Housekeeping and Laundry team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and functionality of the department.
- Assign tasks to staff and inspect work to ensure that the prescribed standards of cleanliness are met.
- Provide guidance, support and identify development needs and manage the relationship between team members and the organization.
- Gather and submit performance reports to the Director of Housekeeping and Public Areas.
- Responsible for inventory and coordination of maintenance of all guest rooms.
- Assist in training new and existing team members while adhering to company policies.
- Trains employees regarding use of equipment (i.e. buffers, carpet shampoos, vacuum cleaners, etc.) and methods of cleaning various surfaces (i.e. marble, vinyl tile, wood etc.).
- Assist in performing employee’s performance evaluations.
- Investigate and address complaints regarding poor housekeeping service.
- Regularly take inventory of cleaning supplies and ordering stock as needed.
- Liaise with front office management to ensure all rooms are clean and fully furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
- Collaborate and communicate with other internal departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
Associate degree or higher preferred.
Previous housekeeping or related experience.
Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
Physical mobility and ability to stand for long periods.
Well-groomed, professional appearance.
A team player with a can-do attitude
Goldwynn operates a twenty-four (24) hour business. Therefore, shift work is required.
