Position Overview

The Housekeeper / Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and well-presented guest rooms and public areas to ensure exceptional guest experience. This role plays an essential part in delivering high-quality hospitality by ensuring guest rooms meet brand and company cleanliness standards.

The Room Attendant works as part of the housekeeping team to support the hotel’s daily operations and help create a welcoming environment for guests.

Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Room Cleaning

· Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards.

· Change linens, make beds, and replace towels and amenities.

· Dust furniture, clean bathrooms, vacuum floors, and empty trash.

· Ensure rooms are properly stocked with guest supplies and amenities.

· Report any maintenance issues or damages to management.

Housekeeping Operations

· Maintain assigned housekeeping cart and cleaning supplies.

· Follow daily room assignments and complete cleaning tasks efficiently.

· Ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals and inspections.

· Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items.

Public Area Support

· Assist with cleaning public areas such as hallways, elevators, and guest areas when needed.

· Help maintain cleanliness of housekeeping storage areas.

Guest Interaction

· Respond politely to guest requests or questions.

· Direct guests to appropriate staff if assistance is needed.

· Maintain a professional and friendly attitude when interacting with guests.

Safety & Compliance

· Follow hotel safety procedures and proper chemical handling guidelines.

· Use cleaning equipment safely and properly.

· Report safety hazards, accidents, or maintenance issues immediately.

QualificationsEducation

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

· Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred

· Hospitality or hotel experience is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

· Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

· Ability to push housekeeping carts and move linens.

· Frequent bending, lifting, and reaching required.

· Work schedule may include weekends and holidays.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour
