Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and a welcoming smile, making them feel instantly at home
- Manage guest wait times efficiently by providing accurate wait estimates and updating guests regularly
- Coordinate reservations and seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction using Open Table
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting host station and waiting area at all times
- Assist guests with inquiries about the menu, restaurant amenities, or special events in a friendly manner
- Collaborate closely with managers to ensure smooth seating transitions and excellent service delivery
- Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, escalating issues when necessary to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a lively, positive attitude that energizes guests and colleagues alike
- Strong organizational abilities to manage reservations, waitlists, and seating efficiently
- Ability to remain calm and professional in busy or high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey wait times and answer guest questions
- Prior experience in hospitality is a plus but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as moving chairs or assisting guests as needed
