Role Description The HACCP Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Langley, BC, responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s food safety and HACCP programs. This role monitors and verifies critical control points, reviews production and sanitation records, and ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. The HACCP Coordinator conducts internal audits, supports external audits, and assists in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for food safety non-conformances. Day-to-day responsibilities include updating HACCP plans and related documentation, training team members on food safety procedures, and collaborating with production, quality assurance, and maintenance to resolve issues. The role also involves preparing reports, analyzing data trends, and recommending improvements to strengthen overall food safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

  • Strong Food Safety and HACCP knowledge, with experience in food safety programs, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Background in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations, with understanding of production processes and handling of meat or similar food products.
  • Effective Communication and Customer Service skills to interact with internal teams, auditors, and customers in a clear, professional manner.
  • Post-secondary education in Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • HACCP certification and familiarity with GFSI schemes (e.g., SQF, BRCGS, FSSC 22000) are strong assets.
  • Experience with internal auditing, documentation control, and data analysis in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office or similar tools for record-keeping, reporting, and training materials.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site production setting.
