Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails is located in the historic Lowenstein Building in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Bolstered by one of the most well-known and highly-respected Executive Chef’s from Charlotte, NC OT is a place where guests are encouraged to “settle in and feel right at home”. Located in a fully re-purposed 1900’s era mill in the historic Lowenstein building.
OT creates an inviting, unpretentious, “everyone is welcome” atmosphere which includes 135+ seats, full bar, an open layout and 2 large outdoor patio areas, which will appeal to young professionals, neighborhood locals, families and dog’s alike. The concept offers elements of casual, yet creative dining and drinking situated in the relaxing and friendly atmosphere of a restored 1900-era mill house.
Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails is seeking a high-level General Manager that can lead and inspire a team on both personal and professional levels. The role will oversee restaurant operations and assist us in offering an extraordinary experience to each of our guests. Qualified candidates shall possess phenomenal service skills, proven leadership traits and a strong desire to take a leading role in our dynamic and driven team. This position is responsible for the overall FOH operation for this location. Key areas of responsibility include team performance, increased sales and profitability, effective cost controls, development, training and retention of staff and Managers.
We are particularly looking for managers with significant start-up, P&L experience and interests in entrepreneurship. Ideally, the right fit will have an interest in and ability to help develop and grow a small restaurant group, as the owners own 3-5 additional A+ location, that we plan on developing.
General Manager Requirements:
- Self-starter

- 5+ years of Casual Dining, Upscale Casual Dining or Fine Dining Management Experience

Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish guest service and satisfaction as a priority through personal example
- Respond to guest complaints and resolves them in a way that ensures the guest will return again
- Lead recruiting, training, developing and retaining the optimum number of staff who are enthusiastically dedicated to delivering the highest level of enjoyment to the guest
- Work with ownership to execute business and operations plan
- Continual emphasis on achieving targeted budgets and sales goals
- Maintain the profitability of restaurant operations by operating within cost of goods and labor productivity guidelines
- Purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory management, cash management, scheduling and shift changes, food and beverage production * Control other direct operating expenses such as utilities, small wares, etc., to minimize expense without adversely negatively impacting operations
- Manage others work safely by being alert and taking action regarding safety hazards and workplace improprieties
- Ensure that all daily restaurant paperwork is completed accurately and on a timely basis including but not limited to daily sheets, payroll, purchase orders, bank deposits, employment-related forms, etc.
- Help to identify and lead engagement in positive community programs and goodwill
- Routinely checks e-mail and responds as necessary
- Ability to communicate and understand the predominant language of restaurant operations
- Knowledge of food and beverage, service and 3 years of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistance of primary management positions
- Supervises the initial, as well as ongoing training and development of all team members according to procedures
- Develops the management skills of the management team
- Coaches and mentors all team members providing documentation as necessary
