Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for food and beverage operations to meet business objectives and enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the food and beverage department, including budgeting, forecasting, inventory management and staffing.
  • Hire, train and motivate a high‑performing team of food and beverage professionals, including chefs, cooks, servers and bartenders.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers to ensure the highest quality products are used in food and beverage operations.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as sales and marketing, to coordinate food and beverage offerings for events and special occasions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor industry trends and incorporate new ideas and concepts into food and beverage offerings.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures.
  • Manage the guest feedback process to continuously improve the guest experience; respond to guest feedback as needed.
  • Manage internal communications to ensure hosts are equipped with the information they need to execute all events, programming and day‑to‑day guest communications.
  • Proven success in managing multiple food and beverage outlets with a track record of delivering exceptional service and profitability across all venues.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative and mission‑driven team culture aligned with Callaway Resort & Gardens’ values and commitment to guest service.
  • Manage departmental marketing budgets to ensure maximum ROI and alignment with revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, coach and develop a high‑performing team; set expectations and ensure accountability for results.
  • Serve as the department and property duty manager as scheduled.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a large team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of current trends and innovations in food and beverage operations.
  • Experience managing budgets and forecasting financial performance.
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
