Role Description
This is a contract, on-site role for a Chef/Guide, based in Bangkok. The Chef/Guide will lead immersive food tours, sharing culinary insights, local history, and cultural context with tour participants. Additionally, the role includes curating exceptional food experiences, liaising with local restaurants or culinary artisans, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. The Chef/Guide will also assist with planning and coordinating tour logistics and act as a knowledgeable ambassador of culinary excellence in the region.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Culinary Arts, including cooking techniques, flavor profiles, and regional cuisines
- Experience in public speaking, storytelling, and guiding groups with a warm, engaging, and personable approach
- Knowledge of local gastronomy, food culture, and landmarks in the assigned region (Germany)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills for planning and executing tours
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in English and German; additional language skills are a plus
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to manage dynamic, on-site situations
- Previous experience in food tours, hospitality, or the travel industry is a plus
