Job Details

  • Compensation: $15.50 per hour (based on experience, skills, education, and location)
  • Work Schedule: Open availability
  • Benefits: Accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, telemedicine benefits, 401(k) retirement plan. Eligibility depends on classification, length of employment, and hours worked. Seasonal or temporary roles are not eligible.

Summary

The Concierge is responsible for providing prompt, professional, and friendly services to hospital employees, patients, guests, and visitors. Services include errand assistance, directional and informational support, appointment scheduling, purchasing, and a wide range of personal errands.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor; greet all customers within five feet; use proper telephone etiquette (30%)
  • Provide general information about the hospital, services, and area; arrange transportation, dining reservations, deliveries, recreational activities, bank services, gift shopping, and more; offer notary services (50%)
  • Place orders for office supplies and miscellaneous items; assist with event planning; provide house‑sitting services; escort customers to hospital destinations (20%)

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Licensure / Certification: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; completion of Towne Park Wheelchair Safety Training; at least 18 years of age; ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen
  • Work Experience: One to three months of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge: Principles of customer service
  • Skills: Manual‑transmission driving and parallel parking; personal vehicle for errands; reading and writing standard English; comprehension of simple instructions and correspondence; basic arithmetic with U.S. currency; operation of various vehicles, including customers’ vehicles

Scope

  • Authority to Act: Performs routine duties following established procedures; decisions limited to operational instructions and departmental guidelines
  • Budget Responsibility: Controls only the resources allocated to the position

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

  • Must regularly talk or hear; frequently sit or stand; run, walk, lift up to 50lb occasionally; handle tools and objects; reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Common vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception; ability to adjust focus
  • Work is primarily outdoors for extended periods, subject to heat and cold; protection from weather conditions may be provided but not guaranteed
  • Travel up to 5% of the time may be required
