Do you love weddings, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy creating unforgettable experiences? The Reading Public Museum is seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Wedding Coordinator to oversee the planning and execution of weddings at one of Berks County's most unique event venues.

From intimate ceremonies in the Arboretum to elegant receptions under the Stone Terrace Tent and unforgettable celebrations in our Museum spaces, you'll help couples bring their dream wedding to life while serving as their primary point of contact throughout the planning process.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary liaison for all wedding ceremonies and receptions at the Museum.
  • Conduct venue tours, consultations, planning meetings, and walkthroughs with prospective and booked couples.
  • Guide couples through every stage of the planning process, providing exceptional customer service and timely communication.
  • Coordinate wedding rehearsals and oversee event-day logistics.
  • Manage setup, execution, and troubleshooting during ceremonies and receptions.
  • Collaborate with vendors, caterers, DJs, florists, and Museum staff to ensure seamless events.
  • Maintain wedding marketing and planning platforms, including Zola, WeddingWire, and Eventective.
  • Track wedding inquiries, bookings, contracts, and payments.
  • Assist with the Museum's annual Wedding Open House and represent the Museum at bridal shows and community events.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 3 years of event management experience; wedding planning experience strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a team.
  • Experience with audiovisual equipment is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

Schedule

This position typically works Tuesday through Saturday, with flexibility required based on event schedules. Weddings and rehearsals frequently take place during evenings and weekends, so candidates must be comfortable working non-traditional hours.
