Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Waiter role based at Beacon Hill Country Club in Atlantic Highlands, NJ. The Waiter will provide attentive table service to members and guests in the clubhouse dining areas, poolside, and at special events. Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, serving meals and drinks, and ensuring that all items are delivered accurately and promptly. The role involves setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness and organization in service areas, and following food safety and club standards. The Waiter will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff, support private events and banquets, and consistently uphold a professional, courteous, and member-focused experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming and positive experience for members and guests.
- Knowledge of food & beverage offerings and food service procedures, including basic menu items and proper serving techniques.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with members, guests, and team members in a clear and respectful manner.
- Familiarity with basic cooking or kitchen operations is beneficial for coordinating orders and understanding preparation times.
- Previous experience in restaurant, club, or hospitality service preferred, but candidates with a strong service mindset are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry trays, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
