Position: Vancouver Aquarium Kitchen Steward Role
Join the Vancouver Aquarium as a Kitchen Steward and ensure the kitchen operates smoothly. Your focus on cleanliness and food service will enhance guest experiences during events.
In this role, you’ll report to the Executive Chef and take charge of maintaining clean kitchen areas, organizing equipment, and supporting various events. You’ll also assist with food preparation and ensure all deliveries are accurate. A proactive attitude towards improving kitchen processes is essential for this dynamic position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
• Support event setup and food service activities
• Complete light food preparation as required
• Sanitize work areas and kitchen tools
• Ensure delivery accuracy and oversee storage cleanliness
Requirements:
• Must have Food Safe Certification
• Proof of Hepatitis A vaccination required
• Strong team player with independent work capabilities
• Ability to stand for extended periods in a busy kitchen
• Competent in MS Office tools like Word and Excel
