Job Title: VIP Event Server
Location: East Rutherford, NJ
Availability: Must be available June-July 2026
Shifts: Various shifts are available throughout the 2-month timeframe
Overview
We are seeking experienced and service-driven VIP Event Servers to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering an elevated guest experience across VIP areas, suites, and hospitality zones. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, premium environment where attention to detail and exceptional service are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
- Provide a warm, friendly, and professional welcome to all guests
- Present menus, answer questions, and offer informed recommendations
- Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
- Ensure all orders meet high presentation and VIP service standards
- Maintain a polished, guest-first approach at all times
Food & Beverage Operations
- Deliver food from kitchen areas to service stations, suites, or skyboxes
- Support elevated service styles, including gueridon trolley service when applicable
- Collaborate with bartenders and culinary teams to execute seamless service
- Maintain fully stocked, clean, and organized buffet stations and pantries
- Monitor inventory levels and proactively communicate shortages
- Ensure all serving utensils and serviceware are clean and presentation-ready
Setup, Cleanliness & Organization
- Prepare and inspect tables for proper setup and cleanliness prior to service
- Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently throughout service
- Maintain clean trays, equipment, and workspaces at all times
- Uphold a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with uniform standards
- Assist with setup, breakdown, and preparation for ongoing and next-day operations
Logistics & Inventory Support
- Assist with movement of equipment and beverages between front-of-house and back-of-house areas
- Restock bars, pantries, and service stations as needed
- Track and communicate inventory needs or discrepancies to supervisors
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with fellow servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and supervisors
- Ensure accuracy of all orders and communicate special requests clearly
- Respond promptly to guest needs and operational direction
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and team-oriented environment
Qualifications
- Previous serving experience in hospitality, catering, or events preferred
- Strong commitment to delivering high-end guest service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- High attention to detail and presentation standards
- Professional appearance and adherence to grooming guidelines
- Knowledge of food safety and handling practices is an asset
