Role Description:
We are currently seeking a Senior Steward to join our team at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre in Sharjah. This full-time, on-site role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and stewarding storage areas while supporting the stewarding team in daily operations. The Senior Steward will assist in monitoring kitchen equipment, maintaining inventories of crockery, cutlery, and utensils, and ensuring that cleaning schedules are followed in accordance with Health & Hygiene regulations, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards, and JRCC policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Report to duty on time and maintain proper grooming and professional appearance.
• Follow cleaning schedules and complete assigned stewarding tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and stewarding storage areas.
• Assist with weekly and monthly inventory of kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery, and equipment.
• Ensure timely removal of garbage and recycling materials.
• Check kitchen equipment regularly and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safe use of chemicals.
• Adhere to fire safety procedures and evacuation protocols.
• Comply with JRCC health, safety, hygiene policies, and HACCP standards.
• Attend required training sessions and medical check-ups.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
• Certified school education.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a stewarding department.
