# Second Cook Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert
* Prince Rupert## Description We’re hiring a Second Cook at the Crest Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC to join our culinary team at our hotel restaurant kitchen for the Waterfront Restaurant and Charley’s Lounge.
Preparing and cooking delicious meals for our guests at the Crest Hotel is the primary responsibility for this role. We’re looking for someone with at least 1–3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including catering for large groups and preparing seafood. You should be comfortable in a fast-paced kitchen and uphold a commitment to excellence in all culinary tasks.
This role works as part of a team of culinary professionals, and so strong leadership experience, including in managing teams and collaborating with multiple departments is important.
There’s a learning curve to this role, so we’re looking for someone who can actively engage in training programs and who is willing to seek additional training as needed. We’re looking for someone who approaches tasks with a positive and ready-to-learn attitude.
Health and safety is important to us, especially in a kitchen environment. You should be able to demonstrate appropriate compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations while working.
This is a full-time position with 30–40 hours per week at $22.71 per hour. There are no formal education requirements for this position as we value experience and a willingness to learn more.
All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This position also includes physical duties requiring you to reach, bend, push, and pull items throughout your shift.
