Stewarding Supervisor
The Stewarding Supervisor is primarily responsible for coordinating and maintaining the cleanliness and proper inventory of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. This role requires effective communication with Culinary and F&B, strong management skills, and the ability to understand and execute event orders for banquet functions.
Responsibilities
- Polish all required equipment, including chafers, flatware, coffee and water pitchers.
- Pull and issue equipment as outlined on the function pull sheet completed by captains.
- Ensure equipment is properly rotated during events.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, alternating weekly for China, Flatware, Glassware and organizing quarterly inventory of all China, Glass, Silver.
- Keep inventory logs of all equipment and notify the Banquet Manager of shrinkage or discrepancies.
- Prepare back aisle items for banquet functions and assist with traying salads, entrees, and desserts.
- Store dishware in the proper location and keep glassware organized at all times.
- Monitor trash levels in all cans and remove trash when needed.
- Maintain a clean working environment in the back hall and loading dock area through daily sweeping and mopping.
- Keep the immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $25.55.

Qualifications
- Prior stewarding experience preferred.
- At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- At least six months of food & beverage experience required.
- Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
- Hospitality-related experience (hotel, country club, or event venue) preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems (Word, Excel, email) preferred, but not necessary.
- Familiarity with chemicals used for cleaning and proper labeling.
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods and lift, push, and pull a moderate amount of weight.
