The Special Event Coordinator supports the planning, logistics, and execution of large-scale public events across NYC, reporting to the Event Manager.

Responsibilities include managing event logistics such as guest lists, staffing, layouts, and briefing materials; coordinating meetings and tracking project progress; assisting on-site during events with vendor management, guest check-in, and troubleshooting; mentoring interns; and fostering vendor relationships to ensure operational excellence.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, experience in fast-paced environments, and physical stamina to support outdoor and indoor event activities, including lifting up to 35 lbs.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of event-related experience in public service or community organizing. Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
