Membership & Community Manager Jobs in Belgium at Event Confederation

Title: Membership & Community Manager

Company: Event Confederation

Location: Belgium

Event Confederation is the umbrella organisation that unites, represents, defends, and informs the broad event sector in Belgium. Our members include federations, companies, and freelancers who are professionally active in the event sector as organisers and/or suppliers.

Event professionals and organisations can join either as basic members or cluster members. Basic members choose the benefits of sector-wide knowledge sharing and networking. Cluster members additionally opt for a specific cluster operation, which features extra information and consultation channels. We have divided our Belgian event sector into eight clusters: event agencies, congresses & exhibitions, public events, technical support, non-technical support, venues, crew, and catering.

At Event Confederation, we believe in the power of connection. Our sector bursts with talent, creativity, and entrepreneurship, and you can help make this network even stronger. The Daily Office team at Event Confederation is looking for reinforcement starting September 1, 2026. We are seeking a Membership & Community Manager who can help our members and clusters grow.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will become a key figure within our organisation, ensuring that everything regarding our members and clusters runs smoothly, relevantly, and inspiringly:

·       You are the first point of contact for all our members (both basic and cluster members)

·       You coordinate and prepare the cluster operations, both substantively and practically

·       You contribute to the development of training programs (both cluster-specific and sector-wide)

·       You prepare the academy offering, ensuring it aligns with our members' needs and focuses on our key priorities

·       Together with the Daily Office team, you organise our networking events (e.g., New Year’s Drinks)

·       You assist with member retention and targeted prospecting

WHO ARE YOU?

·       You are a true connector who draws energy from interacting with people

·       You work in a structured and independent manner, but also thrive in a collaborative environment

·       You exude maturity and feel comfortable speaking in front of an audience

·       You have a keen interest in the event sector and want to actively help strengthen it

·       You are bilingual (Dutch/French) and have an excellent command of the English language

·       You think proactively, are solution-oriented, and maintain a flexible attitude

·       You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experience

·       You have a minimum of 5 years of professional experience

·       You possess a valid Category B driver’s license

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

·       A meaningful role within a growing employers' organisation

·       Ample room to make an impact and take initiative

·       A collaboration based on talent, interests, and competencies

·       Employment on a freelance basis with a long-term commitment

·       You will work approximately four days a week starting September 2026, primarily from home

·       You will be part of the Daily Office team of Event Confederation, with whom you will have weekly meetings

·       You will report to and work closely with the Confederation Manager

WHY THIS ROLE?

Because you don't just do a job here. You help a sector move forward. You connect people and organisations, ideas and opportunities. And you feel that impact every single day.
