Responsibilities
- Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
- Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness.
- Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked.
- Properly utilize equipment supplies and guest amenities.
- Maintain thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas.
- Daily change and inspect linens and towels in accordance with the Green Program standards.
- Practice safety standards and report hazards such as broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, and suspicious persons.
- Exercise respect for guests’ property at all times.
- Take responsible care of equipment.
- Report to work on time and adhere to posted schedule to maintain accurate time records and follow proper standards for room issuance.
- Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co‑workers at all times.
- Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Housekeeping experience desirable.
- Neat, pleasant personality.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
- Physical ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high places; detect odors; position and navigate carts weighing up to 100lbs in tight spaces.
- Operational skills with equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
- Ability to lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25lbs.
Compensation: $14 – $14.
Career Path:
Possibility of advancing to supervisory or management positions such as Housekeeping Supervisor, Manager, or Executive Housekeeper.
