We're hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor at— a 20-room adults-only 5-star property in Zanzibar, Tanzania.

About the Role
You will supervise our housekeeping team and personally ensure every room and public space meets our 5-star standard. This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean, high-performing team — equal parts execution and supervision.
What You'll Do
• Inspect all 20 guest rooms before arrival — zero-defect standard, every time
• Lead daily briefings and assign tasks to the housekeeping team
• Train and coach team members on luxury SOPs and guest privacy protocols
• Manage linen, amenity, and cleaning supply inventory — control waste and maintain par levels
• Coordinate with Front Office and F&B on room turnarounds and special guest setups
• Handle guest requests promptly and professionally
• Report maintenance issues and ensure timely follow-up
What We're Looking For
• 3+ years of housekeeping experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel or luxury boutique property
• 1+ year in a supervisory or team-leader role
• Detail-obsessed — you notice what others miss
• Calm under pressure with strong time management
• Professional guest-facing manner and basic English proficiency
• Swahili speaker and/or East Africa experience is a strong advantage
