About the Role
Cannonball Management Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to coordinate housekeeping and cleaning procedures at The Commodore Motel. The scope of this position includes, but is not limited to:
· Ensuring rooms are consistently ready at or before the designated check-in time
· Hiring, training, and scheduling cleaning and housekeeping team members
· Coordinating cleaning and housekeeping team members to ensure cleaning procedures are completed to a high standard and in an efficient manner
· Performing daily quality control checks on guest rooms to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfortability for guests
· Ensuring guests' belongings are kept secure in designated areas during cleaning procedures
· Noting and reporting to The Commodore Motel’s management team goods in or outside of guests’ rooms which could be considered dangerous or which are otherwise not allowed on the premises
· Coordinating maintenance of Motel fixtures and features wherever necessary
· Managing inventories of cleaning supplies to ensure cleaning and housekeeping productivity is maintained
· Coordinating the handling and use of hazardous chemicals and substances for cleaning procedures by staff members and ensuring workplace safety regulations are met
· Handling guest complaints and comments relating to the cleanliness of the Motel in a satisfactory manner
· Participating in cleaning and housekeeping procedures wherever necessary
The ideal candidate will possess:
· Experience managing small teams of housekeeping and cleaning staff, ideally in a hospitality environment
· Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations regarding housekeeping and cleaning, and particularly around working with hazardous chemicals and substances
· Experience personally undertaking housekeeping and cleaning procedures, ideally in a hospitality environment
· An ability to remain on one’s feet for several hours at a time and travel through multiple levels without use of an elevator
· An ability to effectively and clearly communicate information to colleagues, supervisees, and guests
· An approachable and team-minded attitude
