Position Overview
We are seeking a high-energy, passionate, and experienced General Manager for our SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Freeport, Maine.
The General Manager will be responsible for managing daily hotel operations and providing overall leadership to drive outstanding guest service, maintain brand excellence, and maximize financial profitability. As the primary liaison to the corporate team, you will lead our staff with clear vision, accountability, and enthusiasm.
What Will I Be Doing?
As the General Manager, you will be responsible for directing all aspects of property operations to the highest standards. Specifically, you will:
- Operational Leadership: Lead, direct, and manage daily hotel operations, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and brand standard compliance.
- Team Development: Recruit, hire, train, and mentor department heads and team members. Monitor performance, offer professional development, and cultivate a positive work culture.
- Guest & Service Excellence: Lead service initiatives and balanced scorecard performance to maintain top-tier guest satisfaction scores and resolve guest inquiries/concerns effectively.
- Financial & Operational Performance: Review operational performance, identify efficiency and productivity opportunities, and implement action plans to achieve financial goals.
Role Requirements & Qualifications
- Franchised Hotel GM Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Hotel General Manager (Required).
- Marriott Brand Experience: Minimum 1 years of experience in a Franchised-branded hotel (Preferred).
- System Knowledge: Working knowledge of Marriott systems, tools, and brand metrics (FOSSE/PEP, GXP, Marriott Bonvoy programs, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Education: Associate Degree or higher preferred.
- Work Authorization: United States (Required).
Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
