Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor For 1st Shift – Bi-Lingual (preferred)
$17.50- $18.50 per hour

The Burks Companies, Inc. (TBC) is hiring a full time Housekeeping Lead for first shift. Bi‑lingual Spanish/English is a bonus. The position offers comprehensive housekeeping training and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, holiday and vacation pay. Responsibilities
- The Housekeeping Lead monitors work activities of Guest Room Attendants and Hotel Housemen to ensure clean, orderly, and pristine rooms and guest experience areas.
- Inspects rooms and common areas, including grounds and exterior areas, for cleanliness.
- Assigns duties, inspects work, and investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and takes corrective action.
- Performs inventories to maintain proper par levels.
- Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check‑outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
- Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
- Motivates team members and resolves issues that occur on the job.
- Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
Qualifications
- Good command of English; bi‑lingual Spanish and English is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of hotel services.
- Professional image and personality exuding confidence and leadership skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to organize, prioritize and follow up.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of guest and hotel information.
- Flexible to work hours, including weekends and evenings if necessary.
- Excellent organizational and team management skills.
- Can lift items up to 50 lbs and perform general cleaning tasks (bending, kneeling, reaching, standing for the entire shift).
- Customer service: responds promptly to customer needs, requests for service and assistance, and special requests from guests.
