Overview
The host is responsible for setting the tone and immediately making our guests feel welcome. We expect our host staff to be friendly, outgoing and possess good communications skills as this position is most often the one who makes the first and last impression on our guests. Hosts must be organized, able to think and act quickly and effectively while maintaining self-composure.
They must be sensitive to our guests’ needs and possess a sense of timing. Hosts must take pride in their personal appearance and display integrity and honesty in all aspects of their employment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Adhere to all procedures and guidelines in the Employee Handbook
- Must be knowledgeable about the restaurant hours, menus, seating policies
- Must be able to use all functionality of RESY and reservation standards.
- Arrive on time and ready to work the scheduled shifts
- Set up, organize and maintain the host stand and the surrounding area
- Work as a team with other hosts and entire staff
- Create a welcoming experience for our guests with a warm and sincere greeting and a fond and genuine farewell
- Answer all phone calls to the restaurant by the standards set in the training manual
- Be knowledgeable of all in house events, private dining options, and all menus.
- Manage all reservations
- Escort all guests to their tables
- Notify the manager on duty of any guest issues – positive or negative
- Perform other duties as asigned by restaurant leadership.
