Harbour Hospitality is growing and is currently hiring Servers, Bartenders, Line Cooks, Sous Chefs, and Chefs to join the team at Gretchen's Bistro, our award-winning coastal restaurant in Oriental, North Carolina.

As the company behind Gretchen's Bistro, an award-winning coastal restaurant in the heart of Oriental, North Carolina, Harbour Hospitality is committed to creating exceptional dining experiences through outstanding service, thoughtful cuisine, and genuine hospitality. Our growing hospitality collection also includes private events, luxury accommodations, and exciting future concepts along the Crystal Coast.

We are currently hiring for the following positions:

• Server

• Bartender

• Line Cook (Full-Time)

• Sous Chef (Full-Time)

• Chef (Full-Time)

What You'll Do

Responsibilities vary by position and may include:

  • Deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with our culinary and hospitality teams to provide seamless service.
  • Prepare food and beverages according to Harbour Hospitality standards.
  • Support daily restaurant operations while contributing to a positive team environment.
  • Uphold our commitment to quality, consistency, and hospitality.

Position-Specific QualificationsServer

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide professional table service in a fine dining environment.
  • Comfortable guiding guests through menu and wine selections.
  • Evening and weekend availability.

Bartender

  • Previous bartending experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer.
  • Experience completing beverage inventory, placing liquor, beer, and wine orders, and preparing inventory and sales reports.
  • Experience with beverage cost control and maintaining an organized, efficient bar operation is preferred.

Line Cook

  • Previous kitchen experience preferred.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen.

Sous Chef

  • Previous leadership experience in a professional kitchen preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and team leadership.

Chef

  • Previous kitchen management experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing inventory, placing food orders, controlling food costs, and preparing kitchen reports.
  • Experience with scheduling, recipe costing, and leading a high-performing kitchen team is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
