Job Description:
We are looking to fill the req as quickly as possible, but this is a difficult client and we have to do a meet and greet with them, they are very particular and expect a certain level of experience.
This position is a Hospitality position and candidates must have previous hospitality experience working in the food industry. The following types of experience will be considered: restaurant work, banquet serving, conference room set ups and food ordering. Any schooling or degree in the industry is a plus. The candidate must also be willing to flex their schedule; the scheduled hours are 9-6, but they will be required to work past that on occasion when the law firm has social events that go past 6 PM; they may also be required to work till 8 – 9 PM to cover those events. The law firm also has some weekend events, for these events the candidate may need to work a Saturday or Sunday. These are not as frequent as the social events, but we want to be transparent, and let the candidates know ahead of time that they do occur.
The candidate also needs to have strong social skills and professionalism. E-mail etiquette and proper English skills are a must as they will be interacting with lawyers and other professionals. They will also need to have computer skills and an understanding of Microsoft Office, including updating spread sheets in Excel. Candidates must be able to communicate in writing and verbally in fluent English. There will be lifting, bending, walking and ability to lift up to possible 50 pounds on their own is required.
Cleveland, Ohio 44114 and no free parking or validation. The parking is responsibility of worker or use public transit.
Job Summary:
This hospitality role supports conference and event services by delivering high-quality food and beverage setup, room preparation, and general office maintenance. The position ensures smooth operations for meetings and events while providing professional client service. It requires prior hospitality experience in the food industry and flexibility with scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consistent, high-quality food and beverage setup and service to clients, ensuring smooth delivery of conference and function services.
- Set up and break down conference rooms according to event orders, including assembling and arranging equipment such as tables, chairs, podiums, divider walls, flip charts, whiteboards, and cork boards.
- Maintain cleanliness standards for kitchens, equipment, meeting rooms, and office areas, including trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, and restocking pantries, restrooms, and break rooms.
- Handle conference room sweeps: adjust chairs, wipe tables, stock supplies, and adjust blinds.
- Prepare and break down food setups for client meetings, parties, and company events, including catered food, ice, refreshments, cups, plates, plastic ware, and napkins.
- Perform general waiting and service duties for food and beverages while following hygienic handling procedures.
- Load dishwashers with items used by client personnel and maintain kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, refrigerators, microwaves, and ice machines.
- Manage the conference/hospitality calendar, greet clients and guests, and coordinate meeting rooms and events.
- Order and track inventory for supplies, food, and beverages for kitchens, conference rooms, and pantries.
- Provide general assistance with cleaning kitchen and function areas as directed.
- Perform occasional office maintenance tasks, including trash removal, cleaning, ordering, and restocking.
- May handle general clerical, reception, copying, mail services, shipping/receiving, sorting, distributing, and handling incoming/outgoing mail, as well as distributing office supplies, packages, fax transmissions, and mail to personnel.
- Train team members on responsibilities and tasks as needed.
- Ensure excellent and professional client service at all times.
- Perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience in the food industry is required, such as restaurant work, banquet serving, conference room setups, or food ordering. Schooling or a degree in the industry is a plus.
- Strong social skills, professionalism, email etiquette, and proper English skills are essential, as the role involves interaction with lawyers and other professionals.
- Comfort with technology and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and updating spreadsheets in Excel.
- Willingness to flex schedule: Standard hours are 9 AM to 6 PM, with occasional extension to 8–9 PM for social events. Some weekend work (Saturday or Sunday) may also be required for events, though less frequent.

- This is a business professional dress code position: black or khaki dress slacks (no jeans or leggings/jeggings), nice blouse or shirt, neat and professional hair, well-groomed appearance, and comfortable professional footwear (no tennis shoes, Uggs, or outdoor footwear).
- The role reports directly to the Site Manager or Assistant Site Manager, depending on site personnel configuration.
