Title: Hospitality Consultant
Company: Cuff Studio
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Cuff Studio
Job Description: Hospitality Consultant
About Cuff Studio.
Cuff Studio is a Los Angeles and New York–based luxury furniture and lighting studio. Founded in 2008 as an interior-design practice and re-launched in 2018 as a product line, Cuff Studio designs and manufactures in Los Angeles and sells through an application-only trade program to designers serving high-end residential clients. We now have two showrooms (LA; NoMad Manhattan, shared with two vintage/collectibles partners) and a consistently growing press presence.
The opportunity.
Our manufacturing partner already manufactures for hotels and restaurants, and Cuff Studio’s aesthetic has proven resonance in hospitality-adjacent residential work. We're ready to enter hospitality selectively in 2026, with the goal of winning our first named hospitality projects and establishing the operating foundation for a full channel launch in 2027.
The role
We are hiring a Hospitality Sales Consultant to partner with our co-founders on hospitality go-to-market. This is a 12-month contract engagement with a 6-month review, reporting directly to Kristi and Wendy.
Engagement terms
• Contract / 1099; 12-month initial term with 3- and 6-month checkpoints
• Compensation: Retainer plus commission on closed hospitality projects sourced by the consultant; commission tails for 12 months on repeat orders from the same account (structure negotiable based on scope and seniority)
• Remote; required attendance at BDNY (November 2026) with travel reimbursed at cost
• Non-exclusive; we do not expect or require that you represent Cuff Studio exclusively, provided the brands you represent are non-competitive
• Reports directly to the co-founders with a brief monthly written update
What you'll do
• Develop Cuff Studio hospitality go-to-market plan — target account list, entry strategy, pricing approach
• Open doors at hospitality-focused interior design firms, boutique hotel groups, restaurant developers, and procurement agents in your network
• Guide which SKUs Cuff Studio foregrounds for contract, and which to develop further; coordinate with workroom to document contract-grade compliance (Cal TB 133, ANSI/BIFMA, UL) for 5–8 priority SKUs
• Represent Cuff Studio at BDNY 2026 and advise on presence
• Advise on hospitality trade-press strategy, awards, and visibility
• Provide brief monthly written updates to the founders
What we're looking for
• 5+ years in hospitality FF&E sales, procurement, or specification
• Active relationships at upper-luxury hospitality design firms (e.g., HBA, Champalimaud, Wimberly, BAMO, Studio Munge, Gettys, AvroKO, Rockwell), hotel groups (e.g., Auberge, Faena, Bunkhouse, 1 Hotels, Soho House), and/or hospitality procurement agents
• Fluency with GC / FF&E procurement workflows and hospitality lead-time expectations
• Instinct for the upper-luxury hospitality tier — not mass hospitality
• Professional, brand-appropriate judgment — comfortable representing a design-led luxury studio, not a commodity supplier
• Self-directed and comfortable with a hybrid retainer-plus-commission structure where most upside comes from closed projects
Nice to have
• Prior experience launching a luxury-residential brand into hospitality
• Existing BDNY and/or HD Expo presence, with coast-to-coast network coverage
