Role Overview
Seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Banquet Sales Manager to drive banquet and outdoor catering sales, generate new business opportunities, and maximize venue revenue.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, banquet sales, event management, or wedding sales, with proven experience in client acquisition, relationship management, and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive banquet hall and outdoor catering sales to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, corporate tie-ups, and event partnerships.
- Identify and convert leads into confirmed bookings through effective sales presentations and negotiations.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize banquet occupancy and event revenue.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with:
- Wedding Planners
- Event Management Companies
- Corporate Clients
- Social Event Organizers
- Travel & Hospitality Partners
- Act as the primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Venue Sales & Event Coordination
- Conduct venue walkthroughs and site inspections for prospective clients.
- Present banquet packages, catering options, and event solutions tailored to client requirements.
- Coordinate with operations, kitchen, décor, and event teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Ensure smooth communication between clients and internal stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
CRM & Reporting
- Maintain and update customer information, leads, and booking records in the CRM system.
- Track sales pipeline, conversions, and revenue performance.
- Prepare regular sales reports and business development updates for management review.
Marketing & Networking
- Participate in local marketing campaigns, exhibitions, wedding expos, and networking events.
- Promote venue offerings and strengthen brand visibility in the Ahmedabad market.
- Develop strategic partnerships to increase banquet bookings and event inquiries.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in:
- Banquet Sales
- Hospitality Sales
- Wedding Sales
- Event Sales
- Catering Sales
- Hotel Sales
- Strong understanding of the Ahmedabad hospitality and events market.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating event business.
