Title: Front of House Manager

Company: JOY.

Location: Pyrmont, New South Wales, Australia

Front of House & Office Manager

About the Company

JOY is one of Australia's leading independent advertising agencies. We opened our doors over 20 years ago, motivated by a desire to do better, more creative, more successful work for our clients – and to have a genuinely great time doing it.

We're a values-driven team. Care, Substance, Enterprise and JOY. Those four words underpin everything, including some of the best client and staff retention in the industry. We're different from the rest, and we'd love to tell you why.

About the Role

You'll be the first person our clients, partners and guests encounter when they walk through the door – and a key reason the office hums along the way it does. This is a hands-on role that spans front-of-house, office management and culture, and no two days look exactly the same.

We're looking for someone bright, warm and proactive – someone who takes real pride in keeping things running beautifully and doesn't wait to be asked.

What you'll own

  • Welcoming clients, guests and team members — setting the tone from the moment they arrive
  • Managing meeting rooms, deliveries and day-to-day office logistics
  • Coordinating maintenance, trades and building management as needed
  • Keeping the office well-stocked, tidy and a genuinely good place to be
  • Organising team social events and helping drive a strong office culture
  • General administration and ad-hoc support across the business

This role sits at the centre of the agency, so priorities shift with the rhythm of the business. Being adaptable and good at juggling is genuinely important here.

About you

  • You're a natural at making people feel welcome and at ease
  • You notice things that need doing and just do them – no nudging required
  • You communicate clearly and confidently, written and in person
  • You're organised, detail-oriented and a little bit proud of a well-run office
  • You're comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
  • Experience in office management or event coordination is a bonus – but attitude matters more than a perfect CV

If you've ever thought you'd like to work in advertising, this role is a genuine foot in the door. There's real opportunity to learn, take on more and potentially move into one of our teams over time.

The perks

Breakfast, fresh fruit and a steady stream of chocolate as standard. A fully stocked bar curated by our wine-aficionado founders. And the satisfaction of working somewhere that genuinely looks after its people – our staff retention speaks for itself.

Send us your CV along with a short cover letter. Tell us a bit about yourself – what you've been up to, what draws you to this kind of role, and what a well-run office looks like to you.

Upload your CV/resume or any other relevant file. Max. file size: 800 MB.
