F&B Captain / Specialist
We are looking for a passionate and service-oriented F&B Captain / Specialist to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will support the daily operations of our cafe, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and lead the service team in maintaining the highest service standards. As part of a luxury boutique hotel, this role also requires a guest-focused mindset and the flexibility to support Front Office operations when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and café.
- Ensure smooth and efficient service during operating hours.
- Prepare and serve beverages as a barista and bartender, including coffee, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and other specialty drinks.
- Develop, standardise, manage, and continuously improve beverage recipes to ensure consistency, quality, cost control, and alignment with the hotel's standards.
- Engage with guests proactively, anticipate their needs, and create memorable dining experiences through warm and attentive service.
- Handle guest feedback and resolve service issues professionally and promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in compliance with hotel policies.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock control, ordering, and minimise wastage.
- Ensure proper cash handling and billing procedures are followed.
- Support Front Office operations when required, including welcoming guest and turndown service.
- Perform other operational duties as assigned to ensure smooth hotel operations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Food & Beverage operations, preferably in a hotel environment.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in preparing beverages as both a barista and bartender.
- Strong customer service experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively and adapt to changing operational needs in a dynamic hospitality environment.
- Passion for interacting with guests and delivering personalised, memorable service.
- Willingness to support Front Office operations and work collaboratively across departments when required.
- Knowledge of beverage trends, recipe development, and beverage cost control is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic administrative skills.
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a professional, well-groomed appearance.
