Role Description This is a part-time, on-site Food and Beverage Attendant role based at Mount Lofty House & Estate in Adelaide, SA. The role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages in the restaurant, bars, and event spaces. Daily tasks include setting up and clearing tables, ensuring service areas are clean and well-presented, and following food safety and hygiene standards. The attendant will assist with food preparation support where required, coordinate with kitchen and bar staff, and provide consistent, high-quality customer service. The role also includes handling payments, responding to guest inquiries, and contributing to a smooth and professional dining experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Food & Beverage and Food Service skills, with experience in restaurant or hotel environments.
- Competence in Food Preparation and basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills, with a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and events.
- Previous hospitality experience in fine dining or luxury venues is highly regarded.
- Basic numeracy and point-of-sale (POS) system experience preferred.
- Current responsible service of alcohol (RSA) certification, or willingness to obtain.
- Reliable, well-presented, and able to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment.
