As we continue to expand our impact and develop innovative projects, we are seeking skilled and committed Melbourne-based Events Coordinators. This role will be instrumental in supporting our organisational growth by planning and executing impactful events that align with our mission. The successful candidate will manage event logistics, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure that each event contributes to building and strengthening our community and partnerships. We have major events planned for March and April, and your expertise will be key to their success.
Responsibilities
The position is responsible for:
Event Management: Event conceptualization, planning, budgeting, problem-solving, sourcing materials and equipment, and overseeing event logistics.
Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with various departments, particularly the Marketing & Communications and Art Projects teams, to streamline the event production and promotion process.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal teams, external partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Resource Management: Assist in securing locations, speakers, performers, and logistical needs.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to OH&S standards.
Post-Event Evaluation: Contribute to post-event reviews and analysis for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Passionate about people and creating social changes.
Relevant experience in events, especially in the not-for-profit sector ideally.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organisational, time management and problem-solving skills.
Strong team player but can also work autonomously when needed.
High levels of personal and professional integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
