THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Event Specialist to lead the planning and delivery of conferences, workshops, and industry programs across the APAC region. Reporting to the Senior Event Manager, you will manage the full event lifecycle — from program development and committee engagement to sponsorship delivery, onsite operations, and post-event analysis. This role requires strong project management, stakeholder coordination, and operational execution skills. You will work closely with industry volunteers, speakers, sponsors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality event delivery and seamless participant experience.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE IN THIS ROLE
Event & Project Management
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of conferences, workshops, and technical events across APAC
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, operational plans, and event deliverables
- Coordinate venue logistics, audiovisual requirements, staging, signage, registration, catering, travel arrangements, and onsite execution
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, venues, and service providers to ensure smooth event operations
- Conduct site inspections and oversee onsite event management
Program & Committee Coordination
- Partner with industry committees and subject matter experts to develop conference programs and technical content
- Coordinate speakers, authors, moderators, and session managers throughout the event lifecycle
- Organize committee meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and manage invitations and onboarding activities
- Support abstract management, session scheduling, and speaker communications
Sponsorship, Exhibition & Marketing Support
- Support sponsorship and exhibition deliverables, activations, and branding opportunities
- Support exhibitor logistics and sponsor fulfilment requirements
- Support event marketing initiatives, promotional campaigns, email communications, and content development across digital platforms
Reporting & Administration
- Monitor event budgets, financial tracking, and compliance processes
- Compile post-event reports, attendee feedback, and performance metrics to evaluate event success
- Provide administrative support related to event documentation and reporting
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERTISE
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of experience in conference, exhibition, or event management
- Experience managing corporate, association, or large-scale industry events
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Experience in program development, committee coordination, or technical conferences is an advantage
- Comfortable with regional travel and onsite event support
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere and Canva
- Experience with event management systems and registration platforms
Additional Information
- Strong command of written and spoken English (additional regional languages are an advantage)
