Role Description:
As an Event Sales Planner, you will focus on proactive sales generation, exceptional client engagement, and ensuring every proposal and event reflects Bubble’s reputation for creativity, quality, and sustainability. You will play a central role in planning and delivering high-end private events, with a specific emphasis on luxury weddings, bringing vision, precision, and a calm, confident presence to the client journey.
This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong background in weddings and private event sales, a flair for personalisation, and a proven track record of meeting sales targets. You’ll be responsible for managing your own pipeline, overseeing the sales-to-event journey, and supporting the team in maintaining Bubble Food’s standards across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive individual sales generation
- Actively generate leads and manage the full sales cycle, from initial enquiry to proposal and event confirmation, to meet personal targets.
- Focus on luxury weddings and private celebrations, understanding the nuances of these events and tailoring each response to reflect the couple’s unique vision.
- Prepare high-quality, customised proposals in PowerPoint, adhering to company templates, pricing structures, and sustainable principles.
- Identify opportunities for upselling premium services, cross-selling additional event solutions, and improving revenue margins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with venues, wedding planners, private clients, and key accounts.
- Attend tastings, site visits, and client meetings to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
- Stay informed on wedding and luxury event trends, competitor activity, and client preferences to remain competitive and innovative.
- Undertake other duties as may be reasonably requested within the responsibilities for the post
Client & Venue Relationship Management:
- Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients and venues, ensuring all needs are met with professionalism and care.
- Work closely with clients – especially wedding couples – to understand their full event vision and provide personalised, creative solutions.
- Create bespoke proposals that reflect the individual style and tone of each event while showcasing Bubble Food’s distinctive event offering.
- Maintain strong post-event relationships, gathering feedback and fostering client loyalty and repeat business.
- Proactively follow up to secure testimonials, referrals, and repeat bookings from satisfied clients.
Marketing Collaboration:
- Contribute to marketing efforts by providing wedding and event-specific imagery, video, and detailed descriptions to the Marketing & Social Media Content Creator.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure wedding campaigns and private event content aligns with current market demands.
- Share success stories, testimonials, and highlight unique or standout event moments to support brand storytelling.
Event Operations Coordination:
- Collaborate with the Operations Managers to ensure event planning and logistics are executed to perfection, particularly for weddings where timing and detail are crucial.
- Work closely with the Kitchen and Ops teams to ensure proposals are operationally deliverable and meet client expectations.
- Ensure all quotes and proposals comply with venue regulations, wedding license requirements (if applicable), and client-specific needs.
- Support onsite operations during tastings, high-profile weddings, or promotional activities as required.

- Promote sustainable practices in all sales proposals, especially for weddings and private events where personal values often influence decision-making.
- Educate clients on Bubble Food’s sustainability ethos, offering eco-conscious options such as locally sourced menus and waste reduction strategies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Achievement of personal sales revenue targets, including for weddings and private events.
- Conversion rate of enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Growth in upselling and cross-selling of services within private client and wedding segments.
- Contribution of high-quality content (images, testimonials, descriptions) for use in marketing campaigns.
- Client satisfaction, retention, and referrals – particularly within the wedding and private event sector.
Summary:
- Strong event planning and event management skills, with experience designing, coordinating and delivering private, corporate and luxury events, combining creativity with excellent organisation and process management.
- Proven proactive sales abilities, including prospecting, pitching, negotiation and closing opportunities within an events, hospitality, venue or catering environment.
- Experience working with luxury brands, corporate clients and private individuals, with the ability to understand client needs and deliver exceptional experiences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, including confident client-facing interaction, clear written communication and the ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders.
- Strong account management experience, with a track record of developing long-term relationships with both clients and venue partners.
- In-depth knowledge of unique and premium London venues, with the ability to match spaces creatively to client briefs and event objectives.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for the events and hospitality industry, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach and a willingness to contribute across the business.
- Experience using CRM systems, reporting tools and sales data to support pipeline management and inform commercial decisions.
- Flexible approach to working hours, including availability for evenings and weekends when required by events.
- Relevant education or training in events, hospitality, business or a related field is an advantage.
