Role Description
This is a full time, onsite role for an Event Operations Manager based in London. The Event Operations Manager will oversee end to end event planning and execution, including managing logistics, coordinating with staff and vendors, and ensuring events run smoothly. They will maintain budgets, streamline operations, and ensure high quality customer service for clients.
What You’ll Own
→ Attend site visits and client meetings
→ Manage client liaison from confirmed booking through to event day execution
→ Build detailed function sheets for every event
→ Create and cost drinks menus in line with client brief and budget
→ Manage all stock ordering spirits, mixers, consumables
→ Source and book all equipment glassware, freezer trailers, ice, van hires.
→ Brief the warehouse team on packing, loading, and delivery schedules
→ Coordinate travel, accommodation, and on-site logistics for the team
→ Manage event day operations and act as the point of contact on the ground
→ Oversee setup, service, and breakdown to brand standard
→ Handle post event debriefs and feed learnings back into process
→ Build and maintain supplier relationships, negotiating on cost and availability
→ Track all event timelines and flag risks before they become problems
→ Gradually take ownership of new client relationships as the role develops
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Operations Management and Budgeting to ensure efficient event execution and financial control.
- Experience in Event Planning and the ability to oversee all logistical aspects of events from concept to completion.
- Exceptional Customer Service and Communication skills to build positive client relationships and resolve any concerns effectively.
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills to manage teams and address on-site challenges.
- Previous experience in the events industry or hospitality management is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to dynamic requirements.
