Hotel Hugo Soho is seeking an experienced, revenue-driven Event Manager to oversee private events, group dining experiences, buyouts, and special events across our three distinctive venues:

  • Bar Hugo Rooftop
  • Azul Rooftop
  • Felix Café

Position Summary

The Event Manager is responsible for the complete event lifecycle, from initial inquiry and site tour through contracting, planning, execution, and final billing. The successful candidate will be highly organized, sales-oriented, and capable of managing multiple events simultaneously while maintaining luxury hospitality standards.

This individual will work closely with Operations, Food & Beverage, Culinary, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and exceptional service for every client.

Key ResponsibilitiesEvent Sales & Revenue Generation

  • Respond to and manage all event inquiries.
  • Conduct venue tours and client consultations.
  • Develop proposals, contracts, and customized event packages.
  • Convert leads into confirmed business and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Drive repeat business through exceptional client relationship management.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and annual event revenue goals.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the planning process.
  • Manage all event details from booking through completion.
  • Create and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Coordinate logistics with Food & Beverage, Culinary, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure flawless event execution and guest satisfaction.
  • Attend events as needed and proactively resolve operational challenges.

Systems & Administrative Management

  • Maintain all event activity, contracts, deposits, and reporting within TripleSeat.
  • Utilize Resy to coordinate private dining reservations, buyouts, and event-related guest experiences.
  • Maintain accurate client records and event calendars.
  • Generate reports and analyze booking pace, lead conversions, and event performance.

QualificationsRequired Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of event management experience in hotels, restaurants, hospitality venues, or related industries.
  • Proven success managing events from initial inquiry through execution and final billing.
  • Experience using TripleSeat preferred.
  • Experience with Resy strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Food & Beverage operations.
  • Experience managing multiple events and competing priorities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, fully on-site position based in New York City.

Due to the hands-on nature of managing client relationships, venue operations, and event execution, remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. The Event Manager is expected to maintain a consistent in-office presence and be actively engaged on property throughout the planning and execution process.

Pay: $68,000.00 – $73,000.00 per year
