Role Description The Event Coordinator role at Eklectriq Life is a contract position based in Charlotte, NC with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site event support with some work-from-home flexibility. The Event Coordinator will plan, organize, and execute events that showcase creative brands, including managing timelines, vendor coordination, and logistical details. Day-to-day responsibilities include communicating with partners, sponsors, and participants; coordinating event schedules; and ensuring all event materials, equipment, and spaces are prepared. The role will also involve providing on-site support during events, greeting and assisting attendees, managing registration, and resolving issues in real time to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, the Event Coordinator will help promote events, support ticket or product sales, track basic event metrics, and collaborate with the team to improve future event experiences.
Qualifications
- Strong event planning and event management skills, including coordinating logistics, timelines, and vendors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with partners, sponsors, and attendees.
- Customer service skills with a focus on creating welcoming, positive experiences for diverse participants.
- Basic sales skills to support ticket sales, sponsorship engagement, and promotion of participating brands.
- Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC for events, with reliable transportation and flexibility for some evenings or weekends.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Comfort with hybrid work, including using digital tools for scheduling, communication, and event promotion.
- Experience in event coordination, community engagement, or creative/entrepreneurial environments is preferred.
