Skybridge Luxury Associates has been engaged by our client, a confidential luxury resort in Northern Arizona, to conduct a search for their next Director of Food & Beverage.
This is an independent luxury property with a multi-outlet food and beverage operation spanning fine dining, casual dining, bar programming, and private events. The incoming Director of Food & Beverage will report directly to the General Manager and will step into this role as the property prepares for a full renovation later this year. The ability to lead a complex operation through transition while maintaining service excellence is central to what this search requires.
We are looking for a seasoned food and beverage leader who has built and run multi-outlet operations at the luxury level and knows how to hold standards across very different dining environments simultaneously. Someone with a genuine creative point of view on food and beverage programming, the financial discipline to back it, and the people leadership to develop a team worth keeping.
Independent property experience matters here. This leader will not have a brand infrastructure to lean on and is expected to bring their own instincts, relationships, and operational philosophy to the role.
Ideal candidates will bring:
- Proven Director of Food & Beverage experience within an independent or boutique luxury resort environment
- A minimum of 2 years of tenure in each previous role — longevity and demonstrated commitment are requirements for this search
- Active experience overseeing multiple outlet types, including fine dining, casual, bar, and private event programming
- Experience leading a food and beverage operation through a renovation, re-concept, or pre-opening, with the ability to manage timelines, creative vision, and team morale simultaneously
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cost controls, and revenue optimization across all outlets
- A track record of developing menus, beverage programs, and guest experiences that reflect the property's identity rather than a generic luxury formula
- Proven ability to build, train, and retain high-performing front-of-house teams in a destination resort environment
- Vendor and purveyor relationship management at a level appropriate for independent operations
