Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Siliguri for the position of Culinary Arts Chef Faculty at IIHM. The faculty will be responsible for creating and delivering course material in culinary arts, conducting practical cooking sessions, and mentoring students toward culinary excellence. Additional duties include developing lesson plans, evaluating student progress, organizing workshops, and contributing to curriculum development. Active participation in academic research and staying updated with emerging culinary trends will also be expected.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Culinary Arts, Food Preparation Techniques, and Kitchen Management
  • Experience in Menu Planning, Recipe Development, and Food Presentation
  • Demonstrated ability in Teaching, Training, and Mentoring Students
  • Knowledge of Contemporary Culinary Trends and International Cuisine
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills to engage with students effectively
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience in the hospitality industry or as a chef in reputable institutions
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of learning and excellence in culinary education
  • Proficiency in maintaining a safe and hygienic learning environment
