The Cook I is a skilled team member, providing expertise in the restaurant, kitchen, and catering operations, allowing you a great platform to express your customer service aptitude and culinary skills creatively at Hidden Waters Restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning shifts and training kitchen personnel
  • Assist in planning, implementation, and food product consistency
  • Provide assistance in menu development and special event menus
  • Inventory, purchasing, and budget reporting help
  • Enforce departmental rules, regulations, and policies
  • Assist in preparation of food for the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and neat kitchen

Minimum Requirements

EDUCATION: NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: One year of cooking experience in an institutional or large scale commercial setting.

Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Vocational training in food service will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
