We are looking for a cook for a temporary full-time position at our seniors’ residence. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality, balanced meals tailored to the residents’ needs, while providing warm, respectful, and attentive service. This position contributes to the daily well-being of seniors and the smooth operation of the residence.
POSITION
DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this temporary position is to coordinate food production in a communal setting, developing menus that meet dietary requirements and ensuring strict adherence to MAPAQ and hygiene standards. This role aligns with the residence’s mission to promote the health and comfort of its senior residents.
ROLE AND
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Prepare the lunches and suppers for the Health Care department
- When appropriate, collaborate with the chef in the creation of the menus by proposing ideas
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
