Owting is building a platform to help old and new friends connect IRL. The product makes it easier to make plans, meet up, and build meaningful friendships offline. We are an early-stage, mission-driven team focused on solving loneliness through intentional, real-world connection.
Role Summary:
We’re looking for a highly social, outgoing, community-minded person to help grow Owting’s presence across Los Angeles. This is a boots-on-the-ground growth role for someone who naturally loves meeting people, discovering fun events, building relationships, and connecting communities together.
You will help Owting become embedded in LA culture by building partnerships, attending events, creating local buzz, and turning real-world communities into growth channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage local partnerships across Los Angeles
- Connect with run clubs, gyms, cafés, wellness brands, co-working spaces, universities, creators, and community organizations
- Attend social events, networking events, fitness events, pop-ups, and community gatherings representing Owting
- Identify fun, culturally relevant opportunities for Owting to show up in the real world
- Develop grassroots growth initiatives and local activation strategies
- Create partnerships that drive awareness, signups, and engagement
- Help organize community events, collaborations, and local experiences
- Act as a connector between Owting and the broader LA social ecosystem
Qualifications
- Naturally outgoing, social, and relationship-oriented personality
- Passion for community, events, culture, wellness, nightlife, fitness, or social experiences
- Strong communication and networking skills
- Comfortable meeting new people and representing a brand in public settings
- Self-starter with strong energy and initiative
- Ability to thrive in fast-moving startup environments
- Strong understanding of social culture and trends, especially in Los Angeles
