Job Summary
Due to an internal promotion, Watkins Cellar Door is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Cellar Door & Functions Supervisor to help lead our cellar door and functions team.
Reporting directly to the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Manager, this hands-on role is suited to someone with strong hospitality leadership experience, wine knowledge, and a proven ability to create exceptional guest experiences that drive wine sales and long-term customer loyalty.
You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the cellar door while coordinating functions, supporting events, and leading a passionate front-of-house team. You will also work collaboratively with the DTC Manager to drive wine sales, wine club growth and customer loyalty through exceptional customer experiences.

Customer Experience & Cellar Door Operations:
· Deliver warm, personalised and memorable customer experiences that encourage repeat visitation and long-term loyalty.
· Lead the day-to-day operations of the cellar door, including wine tastings, sales, bookings, POS, stock control and venue presentation.
· Drive wine sales, wine club growth and customer loyalty through engaging wine tastings, confident recommendations and authentic storytelling.
· Coach and support the front-of-house team to consistently achieve sales and customer experience objectives.
· Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness and operational excellence across the cellar door.
· Professionally manage guest enquiries and feedback.
· Pick and pack wine club and online orders with accuracy and efficiency.
· Ensure RSA compliance and the responsible service of alcohol at all times.
· Identify and follow up maintenance, repair and workplace safety issues to keep the cellar door and function spaces safe, functional and well presented.
Functions & Events
· Manage function enquiries, bookings, quoting and scheduling.
· Liaise with clients to coordinate and deliver successful functions and events.
· Coordinate event logistics, venue layouts, timings and external suppliers to ensure every function is delivered seamlessly.
· Lead the on-the-day execution of functions and events, maintaining exceptional service standards throughout.
· Roster and support function staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
· Work closely with the DTC Manager to plan and deliver cellar door events and brand activations that strengthen customer engagement, build brand awareness and drive visitation.

Skills & Experience
· Experience in cellar door, premium hospitality, tourism, retail, beverage sales or events.
· Demonstrated success in driving sales, customer loyalty and repeat business.
· Experience leading teams and managing daily operations.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Wine knowledge with a genuine interest in the South Australian wine industry.
· Experience with POS systems, stock management and customer databases.
· Current RSA and RP Badge.
· Current driver's license.
· Availability to work weekends and occasional evenings as required.
Highly Regarded
· WSET or other formal wine qualifications.
· Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
· Experience coordinating functions, weddings or corporate events.
