About the Role
We are seeking an organized and proactive Catering Coordinator / Event Assistant / Operations Executive to support the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services and events. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate catering orders, event schedules, and operational activities.
- Assist with the planning and execution of corporate, private, and special events.
- Liaise with clients to understand event requirements and ensure expectations are met.
- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers regarding event logistics.
- Prepare event documentation, schedules, quotations, and reports.
- Monitor event timelines and ensure all activities are completed efficiently.
- Support on-site event setup, coordination, and post-event activities.
- Track inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies when required.
- Resolve operational issues and respond promptly to client inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, contracts, and event details.
- Assist management with administrative and operational tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, hospitality, event coordination, or operations support.
- Knowledge of event planning processes and venue operations.
- Experience working with booking systems, CRM platforms, or event management software.
- Understanding of food safety and health and safety requirements is an advantage.
