Mater private network is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced Catering assistant to join our dynamic team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about providing excellent patient experience, we want to hear from you! This is a casual on call role.
What you'll do:
- Deliver exceptional customer service in a busy catering setting.
- Serve food, adhering to strict hygiene and safety standards.
- Manage patient dietary requirements, including modifications and allergens.
- Work closely with nursing and other departments to ensure smooth service. Manage jobs
- Handle patient enquiries and complaints professionally.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
- Follow all catering department policies and procedures.
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in a busy catering environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene and safety (HACCP Level 1 & 2).
- Understanding of modified diets, allergens, and fluid grades.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, mornings, and evenings.
- Ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative.
