Are you passionate about food and making a difference? As a Caterer in our Adult Social Care team, you will play a vital role in delivering delicious and nutritious meals. You will focus on healthy eating while considering dietary, health, and cultural needs. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills and creativity!
In This Role, You Will
- Plan Perfect Menus: Create appetising menus that cater to various dietary requirements.
- Purchase with Purpose: Arrange food purchasing while keeping an eye on costs to ensure we stay within budget.
- Present with Pride: Ensure meals are attractively presented and served in the right portions.
- Monitor and Maintain: Keep track of stock and ensure kitchen areas are secure and clean.
- Ensure Excellence: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following all safety procedures.
- Check and Confirm: Inspect deliveries for quality and quantity, addressing any issues swiftly.
- Lead and Support: Supervise catering assistants, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth operations.
- Gather Feedback: Collect feedback from service users to improve our menu and service quality.
To Thrive In This Role, You Should Have
- A relevant catering qualification or experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of food safety legislation and health regulations.
- Strong organisational skills to manage menus and budgets effectively.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
