Position: Cafeteria Cook for Morning Hours
Contribute to student health as a Half-Day Cook, preparing meals safely and efficiently from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Play a vital role in educational nutrition and kitchen operations.
In the role of Half-Day Cook, you will manage cooking duties aligned with educational standards. Your responsibilities include maintaining proper food temperatures and cleaning kitchen environments. You may also coordinate with the Cafeteria Manager, ensuring all meals are ready for service while meeting safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan food preparation by reviewing weekly menus
• Ensure accurate food temperature recordings
• Cook and bake according to established recipes
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work spaces
• Assist in training new kitchen staff
Requirements:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Clearance from a criminal background check
• Proven experience in volume cooking
• Capability to lift and transport food supplies
• Knowledge of food safety procedures
Support the nutritional needs of students through effective meal preparation and kitchen management.
