Role Description The Butler will provide personalized, high-touch service to guests throughout their stay, ensuring comfort, privacy, and attention to detail at all times. This is a contract, on-site role based in Wakatobi, supporting both resort and yacht guests as needed. Daily responsibilities include greeting and escorting guests, managing check-in and check-out, handling special requests, and coordinating with housekeeping, dining, dive, and transport teams. The Butler will anticipate guest needs, arrange in-villa or in-suite services, assist with packing and unpacking, and ensure rooms are impeccably prepared and maintained. Additional tasks include managing guest preferences, supporting dining and beverage service, assisting with excursions or activity scheduling, and promptly resolving issues to maintain a seamless luxury experience.
Qualifications

  • Strong guest service and hospitality skills, with experience in luxury hotels, resorts, yachts, or high-end service environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a professional, discreet, and culturally sensitive demeanor.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple requests, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (housekeeping, food and beverage, front office, dive operations, and transport).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage for serving an international guest base.
  • High level of personal presentation, reliability, and integrity, with a strong commitment to confidentiality and guest privacy.
  • Comfort working in a remote island environment, with flexibility to work varied hours, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Previous experience in butler service, VIP guest relations, or similar roles; hospitality-related training or certification is a plus.
